Eat Chow
Eat Chow is a local hotspot in Orange County, California - known for their elevated American food with authentic flavor twists. They have two locations: Costa Mesa & Newport Beach - each serving their own beach town communities. They came to us looking to drive foot traffic and get more attention on their consistency and local legend status in the heat of the pop up “trendy” restaurant craze.
The Challenge
When Eat Chow came to us in 2021, their social media wasn't broken — it was just pointing in the wrong direction. Literally.
Their reach was somehow landing overseas more than in their own backyard, which is a problem when you're a restaurant with physical locations that need local people walking through the door.
On top of that, their content wasn't doing their food justice. Fries and burgers on the patio can only take you so far. They needed a strategy that actually reflected how good this place was.
The Strategy
Step one: bring the reach home. We started with local hashtags and geo-targeted keywords to re-anchor their audience — and since both locations sit in beach towns, we didn't ignore visitors entirely. We just reframed the content around California culture first, tourists second.
From there, the goal was building a culture around the brand. Eat Chow was never a one-thing restaurant — and honestly, that was their superpower. Everyone who loved them had a different favorite, and they were passionate about it. So we leaned in. We made that the story.
Over time, our partnership with Eat Chow grew into something beyond content creation. We got involved in recipe consulting — helping them think about their menu through a social-first lens. The biggest example of that? Their flights.
In an era where "trying a little of everything" content dominates social media, adding flights to their appetizer and dessert lineups was a no-brainer. Shareable by design. And sure enough — people shared.
The Results
Visibility climbed. Foot traffic followed — especially around new item launches and menu refreshes. Eat Chow had already built a reputation for consistency in their community, so when we announced something new, generating excitement was practically built into the formula.
Then 2025 happened. Eat Chow rebranded into a diner concept, and we rebuilt their content strategy from the ground up to match. New aesthetic, new formats, new energy — completely aligned with where the brand was going.
The results since? Website clicks up 400% in the past month alone — and still climbing.
Five years. One client. That's what a real agency partnership can look like.
